Rhodo Zeb 肉豆咋补 is a U.S. attorney with years of legal experience and deep knowledge of China. 10 years is a long time in any country, but in modern China 10 years is an eternity. Wait, let me start that again. And let’s change the speaker to first-person.
I have been here for a long time, and I have watched China change so dramatically over the past decade that I understand where local residents are coming from. Shanghai is, frankly, a well-run, entertainment-oriented city, with world-class facilities. But it is also a city of neighborhoods and residents who value safety and security. I will try to provide some insight into the various qualities and aspects of this vast city.
The local Shanghai natives are known as, shall we say, communicative sorts, and the language and culture of Shanghai are topics that I will certainly cover in some depth, as I am interested in both.
Outside Shanghai is a world that I have visit regularly, enough to appreciate the progress that is occurring there as well. I returned to Yunnan recently after five years, (you will see some of the pictures), and was very happy with the progress I saw there. Although the region has a long way to go, I am excited about the prospects for the west of China, and will focus on interior areas in the future.
Finally I am a tech geek at heart, although I never studied computers, and professionally I have one foot in the software industry, so I will touch on tech from time to time.
