I have been waiting for an appropriate time to post this picture from Lijiang, Yunnan Province. Now…just seems like the right moment.
Sadly, we were told the tourist demand for Yak is so strong that the locals no longer trust any of the meat in the marketplace, and real Naxi restaurants will no longer serve Yak. I guess that isn’t quite a tragedy though, now is it?
